Finding the right plus size bra or a bikini top can turn into a real nightmare if you don’t know where to start your search. I know that for sure because searching in the wrong places has often driven me really close to insanity. That feeling like the whole world is against your decision to finally find the right bra size… hmm… Well, I’ve been there and felt it all so I think I am entitled to do a little “how to and where to” section. We don’t need to make the same mistakes over and over again, right?

Well, there is one good thing that resulted from my endless search to find the right size bra that fits perfectly- I found many great plus size lingerie brands and I realized that most of them have great swimwear, too!

The first name on my shopping list is, off course, Lane Bryant whom I mentioned before. Now, this brand specializes in plus size clothes, swimwear and lingerie but since most of their swimwear and lingerie is sold separately, you can find great ones even if you just need a plus size bra or a bikini top. I’ve posted some of this brand’s swimsuits before so this time I picked this really sexy plus size bra to show you. You can order online or visit their shop and the best thing is that they will re-measure your bra size so you’ll be sure that shopping at this store got you the right size bra your “girls” will feel great in.

My other choice is the site called biggerbras as it offers a wide variety of both plus size and large bra size swimwear styles. My absolutely favorite collections are Tara Grinna and Fantasie and I’m sure there isn’t a girl who can’t find something for herself here. Tops and bottoms are sold separately here, too, and you can choose between different bikini top styles like: triangle tops, bandeau tops, tankini tops or underwired tops. Bottoms are also available in wide array or styles and sizes so you can match your own style and pick a sexy, glamorous, girly or sporty look. The tops are designed specially for large bra sizes and, no matter which style you choose,your girls will always have support and look their best.

Petite women may not have the problem of finding the right bra size but that doesn’t mean they don’t have their dilemmas when picking a bikini. One of the most common ones is how to find swimwear that will enhance and visually make small bust look bigger. Wearing a bikini means being almost naked, so all imperfections will show, right? Well, wrong. Like there are ways to prevent slippage and spillage of large bust, there are ways to make smaller ones appear at least a cup bigger.

First step is to pick the right swimwear bra size. Picking a bigger top will only make your breasts appear even smaller because it will be obvious you can’t fill the cup. So always take your bra size no matter how small the cup may look.

Next, there are some tricks you can use to achieve a fuller bust appearance. The key is to make the prints and patterns work in your best interest. Padded tops are completely ok, just make sure the padding looks natural. The best choice for beachwear is light padding because I’m sure you don’t want to come out of the water and realize your bikini top is three times heavier from soaking in half of the ocean. Don’t worry – you can make your breasts appear bigger even if you’re not heavily padded.

1. For small bra size, swimwear should be bright-colored and heavily printed. Brightly colored bikini top will draw attention to the bust and make it appear more voluptuous.

2. Details are also a great option. Loops, bows, beads or anything you like.

3. Ruffled bikini tops also do wonders for petite women with smaller bra size as they accentuate the bust and are really cute, sexy and feminine. A ruffled bikini will definitely get you noticed  even onthe most crowded beach. If you’re asking me, this is the best style out there.

Whatever you do, always make sure that you don’t wear dark colors or pick a style with bright-colored top and darker bottom. Dark colors make bust appear smaller so they will work better for women wearing large bra size. Bandeau tops are also a no-no because they flatted down the chest. Experiment and play with the colors and prints and I’m sure you’ll find a bikini style that will work perfectly for your bra size.
